ABSTRACT

The authors described two cases with primitive trigeminal artery. Case 1 was a 32-year-old woman who suffered dizziness and a serious pulsatile intracranial bruit on the left ear, and sometimes associated with pulsatile intracranial bearing-pain on the left temporal side six months before she was admitted to the hospital. She also suffered from obvious diplopia on left lateral gaze for the last 5 months. She had suffered no recent trauma. Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) demonstrated a suspected intracranial aneurysm located in left cavernous sinus. Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) was performed and a primitive trigeminal artery-cavernous sinus fistula in left side was found. Intraluminal occlusion of the fistula was successfully performed immediately after angiography using 6 Guglielmi detachable coils (GDC), and the patient was cured finally. Case 2 was a 28-year-old woman who suffered a serious intermittent cephalodynia associated with soreness on the left body two years before she was admitted to the hospital. She had suffered no recent trauma. Magnetic resonance angiography(MRA) demonstrated a suspected intracavernous aneurysm of the right internal carotid artery, Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) was performed. Right internal carotid angiography showed a primitive trigeminal artery (PTA) run between the cavernous segment of the internal carotid artery and the distal portion of the basilar artery. On initiation of PTA of R-ICA a small wide-necked saccular aneurysm was incidentally visualized. The aneurysm was successfully embolized after angiography using 2 Stent (Neuroform, 4.5mmm × 20mmm)-assisted detachable coils (Matrix), the ICA and PTA were preserved, and the patient was cured finally.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze CT characteristics of metastatic liver leiomyosarcoma(MLL),and to improve the diagnostic accuracy of MLL.Methods CT manifestations and clinical characteristics of 5 patients with pathological-proved MLL were retrospectively analyzed.Plain and contrast-enhanced triphase(including arterial, portal phase in all cases and delayed phase in a part of cases) scans were performed. Results On plain scan, all lesions were hypo-dense."Bull-eye-sign" was found in two cases on contrast-enhanced scan, which is the typical metastatic feature.During arterial phase, the smaller lesions showed marked peripheral enhancement and central necrosis. The larger MLL presented as solid-cystic lesions, the parenchyma of tumor was rich in blood supply. Some cases presented mild hypo-dense or iso-dense comparing with the parenchyma of the liver on delayed phase. One case was misdiagnosed as hepatic hemangioma or focal nodular hyperplasia(FNH).Metastases were found out of the liver.Tumor thrombus of portal vein was not found in all of the cases. Conclusion MLL should be considered in the patients with history of extra-hepatic leiomyosarcoma,no marker expressions,no history of hepatitis,no tumor thrombus of portal vein and the special CT findings.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the features of pelvic arteriography in postpartum hemorrhage. Methods The pelvic arteriographic results of postdelivery hemorrhage caused by differeut cause in 10 patients whom were treated with artery embolization were analysed and compared with the clinical data. Results The arteriographic features included irrgeular nodose or diffuse outflow of contrast medium in bilateral upper branches of uterine artery in 5 cases with atonic uterus streaky or cloudy contrast medium in the site of uterine incision in 2 cases after caesarean. In two cases with incomplete laceration in the lower portion of soft puerperant tract, there was distinct outflow of contrast medium in one side or bilateral down branches of uterine artery but its bilateral upper branches was displayed clearly. On angiography in one case with uterine vascular malformation displayed one of upper uterine branch was enlarged and the constrast medium flowed into utrine cavity directly. Conclusion Pelvic arteriography in postpartum hemorrhage with different causes has its special findings.Arteriography in combination with the clinical data can afford more direct and accurate informations for analysing the causes of postpartum hemorrhage causes.

ABSTRACT

Medical equipment is necessary for large and medium-scale hospitals in medical, scientific research and teaching affairs. To make the best of medical equipment can maximize the interest of diagnosis, treatment, research and economics, and thus accelerate the modernization of hospitals.Of all the issues, the project management, technique management and economic management of medical equipment should be paid attention to specially.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the application values in chest bedside photograph of newborn by CR.Methods 210 CR images of newborn chest bedside photograph were analyzed retrospectively and evaluated.Class A is 201 leaves, the A rate is 95.7%;Class B is 9 leaves, the B rate is 4.3%;Class waste is 0,the waste rate is 0.Results The application value can be improved by appearing digitalization imaging and entering PACS system. Conclusion In spite of the characteristic in the faster diagnosis speed, the lower exposure of X-ray,the higher quality image and succeed rate,it can be given guides for clinic image diagnose.
